Fun Fall Project

This is another item I got in our "anything-but-a-card" swap.  This basket is made with the Stampin' Up! Baskets & Blooms die, but the basket has sides and a rectangular bottom opposed to being rounded like die cut is intended to be assembled.  This one was made by my friend Kathy (some of you may know her as Twerp), and it's filled with pot pourri.    The Designer Series Paper used on the basket as well as the leaves is called Autumn Traditions.  I love that Stampin' Up! has thrown Elegant Eggplant into this fall color pallet.  If I've said it once, I've said it a dozen times...Let Stampin' Up! do the color coordinating for you.  Just use the color combinations that they come up with in their Desinger Series Papers and you're set!  They are always beautiful.  And trendy to boot.  :)

I just wanted to share the cards I've created for some recent grads.  I love to make cards like this that you can create in school colors to really personlize them.  Especially when the card IS the GIFT as well.  OK, so it has cash in it too, but I want the receiver to enjoy the packaging of the money.  Any way, I have basically created the same card design in different colors, and I made the purple one with some scallops as it is for a girl graduating from Burlington Community High School in Burlington, IA.  The wanted to other two cards to be more masculine, so I layed off the scallops and went with straight edges.  These grads are local boys as I'm sure you can tell from the colors - United and Galesburg.  I made a little pocket inside to stash the cash (or check or gift card, etc.)  And don't forget the envelopes... I stamped a graduate seal on the envelope flap so it would coordinate as well.  On the Galesburg one, I actaully cut the seal from cardstock and adhered it to the envelope with sticky strip.  Enjoy the photos and give me a call to assist with your graduation projects.  (phone:  309-341-0716, e-mail:  jj@getyourstampsout.com.)
